Founders’ Day - Tuesday, May 4, 9:30 a.m

Lincoln Christian University will be celebrating Founders’ Day with a special chapel service on Tuesday, May 4, at 9:30 a.m. in the Earl C Hargrove Chapel. This event concludes a year-long celebration of our 65th anniversary. Former President Robert Phillips will be our guest speaker. Worship will be led by Tim Searby and a mixed ensemble of alumni. Everyone is invited to join us for this special service.

Get Ready to "Run For Your Life"

Register now for the seventh annual Run For Your Life held on the Lincoln Christian University (LCU) campus at 4 p.m. on April 16. New Book to Honor Dr. Robert Lowery

04/02/2010: It was recently announced that a new book titled "Dragons, John, and Every Grain of Sand - Essays on the Book of Revelation in Honor of Dr. Robert Lowery" to honor Robert A. Lowery, Ph.D., Dean of Bible and Theology and Professor of New Testament in the Seminary will be published this year.

Undergraduate Studies Extends Anniversary Scholarship Offer

03/02/2010: Lincoln Christian University is extending its 65th Anniversary Scholarship offer by guaranteeing a $3,000 annual scholarship to all new applicants for the School of Undergraduate Studies who plan to live on campus and apply for admission between March 2 and April 30, 2010.

Ready for Summer?

2/24/2010: Current students should plan now to enroll in LCU summer classes. More than a dozen Seminary courses are being offered in the fields of Bible/Theology and Christian Ministries. Summer classes are offered at various times and in a variety of formats - including one-week intensive sessions and online. The registration period for summer and fall classes is March 22 through April 16 for current students. Not a current student? New student orientation and registration is scheduled for May 20.


LCU “Run for Your Life” T-shirt design chosen

02/24/2010: Susan Teoro of Bloomington, IL is the winner of Lincoln Christian University’s annual Run for Your Life t-shirt design contest. Run For Your Life is a two-mile run/walk held annually on the campus of Lincoln Christian University (LCU). This is the seventh year for the LCU event which is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday, April 16. Each participant will receive a t-shirt with Teoro’s winning design as part of their registration fee.

11/24/2009: Not all graduate level degrees require enrolling in traditional, semester long courses on campus. One alternative is to enroll in one-week long intensive classes. During the spring semester, intensive weeks will be offered in January and March.


Red Lion Volleyball Ranked #1

11/10/2009: The Red Lions of Lincoln Christian University have been seeded as the number one team in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division II volleyball tournament to be held in Kissimmee, FL November 12-14. The Red Lions will be looking for their third National Championship, having previously won in 1998 and 2003.


LCU Alum to Speak at NMC

11/10/2009: Roselin (RoRo) Eustache, founder of Haitian Christian Outreach (HCO) in Haiti, will be the Saturday morning keynote speaker at the National Missionary Convention (NMC) in Peoria this month. RoRo is a graduate of Ozark Bible College and Lincoln Christian Seminary.

2009 LCU FALL BIOETHICS CONVERSATION

11/5/2009: Join us at The Warehouse Coffee Shop on Thursday, December 3 from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. for the third in a series of conversations on bioethical issues. This is the final conversation this fall and is titled, “Ventilators, Feeding Tubes, and Our Medical War Against Death: Counsel From A “Battle-Tested, Christian Ethicist.” Lisa Anderson-Shaw, DrPH, MSN who is Director of Clinical Ethics Consult Service and Assistant Clinical Professor at University of Illinois Medical Center (UIMC), Chicago, will be the featured guest speaker.


2009 NCCAA II MIDWEST REGION SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP - CANCELLED/MOVED

10/30/2009: The NCCAA Midwest Regional Division II soccer championship has been cancelled at Lincoln Christian University due to standing water on the soccer field. The semi final games between Grace Bible College / Moody Bible Institute and Northland International University/ Maranatha, Baptist Bible College will take place at Moody Bible Institute 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm.Saturday and the Championship game will be contested at Moody Monday at 1:00 pm.


Local Businesses Support Annual Internship Fair

10/30/2009: Thanks to the generous contributions from 49 local businesses, LCU was able to give away almost 400 items to students that attended the annual Internship Fair at LCU’s Laughlin Center. Donations ranged from goody bags, gift cards and certificates for restaurants, gas stations, and retail stores to services and products from the various businesses.

LCU Hosts Illinois State Ministers’ Retreat October 26-27

10/9/2009: Lincoln Christian University will host the Illinois State Ministers’ Retreat on October 26 - 27, 2009. Featured speakers are Mont Mitchell, Senior Minister of Westbrook (Illinois) Christian Church and Dr. LC Sutton, of Lincoln Christian University. This year’s theme is “Pursuing our Mission: How to Stay Connected to the Team.” Workshops will be presented by Barney Wells on rural ministries, Roger Songer on college ministries, Kevin Wolf on seniors’ ministries, and Patty Dudley on women’s ministries.

LCU Celebrates Name Change

9/1/2009: Lincoln Christian College and Seminary changed its name to Lincoln Christian University (LCU) on September 1. The public was invited to attend the Convocation service at 9:30 a.m. in the Earl C Hargrove Chapel auditorium to recognize this milestone in the school’s history.
