Athlete of the Week
Week of March 19: Jared Nassiff
Senior Jared Nassiff of Ankeny, IA, has been named LCU’s Athlete of the Week. Nassiff went 6-14 this weekend to lead the Red Lions baseball team with a .429 batting average. Nassiff was also responsible for driving in the game winning run in the bottom of the ninth against Maranatha Baptist Bible College.
Week of February 6: Brady Cremeens
Cremeens led the Red Lions in three different categories in their match on Saturday against Central Christian College of the Bible (points-21, rebounds-9, assists-6. Cremeens is shooting 96.3 from the free throw line which is currently the highest percentage among NCCAA Division II players.
Week of January 30: Chris Lawson
Senior Chris Lawson of Bloomington, IL has been named LCU’s Athlete of the Week. Lawson averaged 23.0 points per game this week to lead the Red Lions in their two matches. Along with being ranked in the top 20 in the NCCAA Division II for points per game, Lawson has led LCU in scoring for 13 of the 19 games they’ve played this season.
