Dave Ulrich
Student Assistant Coach

Dave Ulrich, a junior Youth Ministry major from Tinley Park, IL, is in his second season as the Student Assistant Coach for the LCU Red Lions Volleyball Team. He played volleyball as a child and into high school as an outside/middle hitter under former Lewis University setter Troy Hari. He hopes that in sharing his knowledge of the game with the LCU team, he will help bring another national championship to the program. Dave also works as a dean's assistant and is frequently involved with the youth ministry and worship team (singing and playing the guitar) at his home church in Orland Park, IL. One of his favorite scriptures is Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Grace Ernst
Manager and Statistician

Grace Ernst is a freshman Business Administration major from Palmyra, IL. She serves as manager and stat-keeper for the volleyball team. She played volleyball for five years in junior high and high school, starting out as a setter and switching to outside hitter. When asked about her time spent with the team she said, "I am becoming good friends with all of the players and am learning more about volleyball as I keep stats during the games. I thoroughly enjoy being manager for the LCU volleyball team." She also enjoys horseback riding, backpacking, canoeing, reading, traveling, and outdoor activities. One of her favorite scriptures is Isaiah 40:31, "But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not grow faint."
