“I have a passion for reaching the unreached and Bible-less for the kingdom and to bring closer to God those who are already saved.”
Jan Barczuk (LCC ’03, LCS ’06) works with Pioneer Bible Translators and Send Me Ministry to carry out the Great Commission. Here is his story…

When I first left Poland in 1985, it was still “behind the Iron Curtain.” I have to admit I did not know anything about Lincoln, IL or LCU. As I was a cofounder of the first Christian fulltime working music band in communist Europe, my dream was to come here to become a better musician and return home to minister better. My life circumstances however derailed and delayed my plans. Some time later in 1989, when I was already living in Canada, my good friend George Bajeński, in God’s providence, introduced me to LCC. Later that year I was able to come to Lincoln to study for two semesters. In 2000, after already residing in the United States, I went back to Lincoln and graduated with a BA in Music Ministry and later in 2006 with a MA in Worship Studies. I was Ordained to the ministry by Jefferson Street Christian Church (Lincoln, IL) where I worked during my school years. After graduation I served as Worship Minister for 10 years at Central Christian Church in Rockford, IL. In 2015 God called me to be part of two mission organizations, Pioneer Bible Translators and Send Me Ministry. All my schooling and life experiences gave me a good training for this work. So, this is how I now carry out the Great Commission. I have a passion for reaching the unreached and Bible-less for the kingdom and to bring closer to God those who are already saved.

Pioneer Bible Translators exists to disciple the Bible-less, mobilizing God’s people to provide enduring access to God’s Word in every language. PBT bridges the gap between the church and the people around the world that do not have a Bible translation in their own heart language. Our organization is composed of Bible translators, literacy workers, evangelists, church planters and a variety of support personnel working to see transformed lives through God’s Word in every language. We are now 425 teammates translating the Bible together for 32 million people speaking 66 languages in 16 countries. God is calling us to expand and my role as European Partnerships Coordinator in the Global Partnership Division is to mobilize the national churches and believers in Europe and Eurasia to participate in God’s mission to transform lives through God’s Word in every language, and to support this mission with prayer, people and funding. Our goal is to find, equip and send out healthy and well prepared new translators from those places. With God’s help we will strive to start 19 new projects by the end of 2018. Pray with us for the right new missionaries to help us accomplish this: https://pioneerbible.org.
Through Send Me Ministry I reach out to the Jewish people who primarily live in Europe and in Israel. They gave us the Good News, now I strive to introduce Jewish people around the world to our and their Jewish Messiah that they have been blind to recognize for so long as their only savior. I minister to the Holocaust survivors, young people, and kids but also equip Jewish pastors and leaders from Messianic Congregations. Last year we organized eight camps in Poland for people who live in Israel and one conference for 150 Russian speaking Jewish leaders from around the world. The Jewish people need to know Jesus, the Prince of Peace. They need Him in Europe, they need him here in the USA and especially they need Him in the land of Israel. The harvest is plentiful, unfortunately the workers are few. The Jewish people who gave us our Messiah are considered an Unreached Group today! The best gift we can give them is Jesus, our love and our support!
For those that know me and wonder if I still play music…? Yes I do! Wherever I go I take one of my instruments with me and try to bless others!
Please, prayerfully consider if I can be your mission arm to the unreached people of this world. Please, continue to pray for PBT, the Jewish Ministry and for my family as well.
