Knowing that most of his students work full time and are tending to life’s responsibilities, Trevor D. Cochell admires the time and energy they put into their studies. “They continually impress me with their eagerness and ability to learn.” Fittingly, he first encountered the term “lifelong learner” at LCU as a student. He articulates, “I still feel like a student as much as a professor.” Cochell is married and has two adult daughters. For fun, he likes running, hiking, fishing, hunting, and gardening – anything where he can enjoy God’s stunning creation with family and friends.
“The Old Testament never gets old. My work is to teach Christians how to better recognize the Old Testament as Christian Scripture—that is, how the Old Testament continues to be authoritative and relevant.”
Dr. Trevor D. Cochell, Assistant Professor of Old Testament (Professor-at-Large)
