Frank Dicken is Associate Professor of New Testament at LCU. He was born and raised in the great state of Maryland, becoming a Christian at age 11 at the Winifred Road Church of Christ in Cumberland. He holds a BA in Preaching Ministry and the MDiv (emphasis New Testament) from LCU. After finishing the MDiv, he pastored a small church in suburban Baltimore, MD for six years. Dicken completed additional graduate work in Biblical Studies at St. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore before earning a PhD in New Testament Language, Literature, and Theology at the University of Edinburgh. His academic interests are in Luke-Acts, the gospels, the Greco-Roman and Jewish backgrounds of the New Testament, and interpreting the Bible. He regularly leads tours of Greece, Italy, Turkey, and Israel. He and his wife, Jill, live in Springfield, IL where Jill is the Executive Pastor at South Side Christian Church.
