If you feel called by God to the teaching ministry of the church, and have a commitment to growing disciples and developing comprehensive ministries for the local church, then the Master of Religious Education degree is intended to prepare you to fulfill your mission. As a student in this program, you’ll take both educational and theological classes, so you’ll develop a pastoral approach to leadership. You’ll also benefit from a regularly revised curriculum. Our MRE is grounded in the educational needs and challenges of today—not the 1980s.
Whether you want the full on-campus experience or are looking for less traditional options, our program works to fit your lifestyle. You can choose between two options: Take up to two-thirds of your classes online and finish the other third in week-long intensives or take full-semester courses weekly or monthly. This hybrid approach allows you to tailor your education to fit the needs of your life and ministry, and it results in more productive class time and engaged learning.
Your educational foundation and theological worldview will enable you to apply this degree to almost any aspect of ministry or even go on to do doctoral work. In any case, we hope to empower you to do all God is calling you to do and be all that God is asking you to be.
