A. Paul Benjamin, LBI ’51, went to his heavenly home on May 21, 2018.
He was a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul never met a stranger and enjoyed passing out Ghirardelli chocolates to everyone he came in contact with. He loved a good joke and had a memorable laugh. Paul was a writer, he loved writing short stories, and published 24 books in his lifetime. He was the president of the National Church Growth Research Center. One of his greatest passions was to encourage hurting and discouraged ministers and their families. Paul is survived by his son, Andrew Paul (Martha) Benjamin, LCC ’77, daughter, Lititia Jane Benjamin, LCC ’97, granddaughter, Rachel M. Edwards, and two sisters, Lois McCarter and Ruth Ann Hieronymus, LBI ’52-’54. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Lois Jane Benjamin, LBI ’49-’51.
