LCU Alums in Chicago’s Northside
Joshua Sherif, LCC ’09, and his wife Gina (Coultas), LCU ’10, joined New Life Community Church in Chicago in 2011, and planted a new location of New Life on Chicago’s North side in 2012. New Life Albany Park has been reaching out to a diverse group of long-time Chicago residents, as well immigrants and refugees from all over the world who now call Chicago home. The congregation at New Life Albany Park represents more than 30 nationalities and 20 languages. Joe Flammer, LCC ’05, and his wife Amy (Huette), LCU ’07, recently concluded 11 years of church planting in New Zealand. They then joined the pastoral team at New Life Albany Park and will be serving alongside the Sherifs. Josh and Joe are working together in the local church context. They also have a ministry to encourage, equip, and support other missionaries, pastors, and lay-leaders around the world through New Life Cities. New Life Cities is making disciples through the planting of life giving churches in global cities. New Life Community Church is one church, currently meeting in 27 diverse locations all over the city of Chicago, for the good of the city.
