I graduated from Lincoln Christian University in 2008, and I owe everything to this university.
While attending LCU in 2005, I was given the opportunity to start a youth group program at a Church near my hometown. It was initially going to be a one-summer thing. I have been in ministry ever since! The experiences, professors, and fellow classmates have taught me more than I can ever put into words. I currently serve at New Hope Christian Church in Crawfordsville, Indiana. In addition to youth ministry, I coach varsity girls basketball, and work as a sportswriter for the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Hoosiers basketball teams.
About four years ago, I had the desire to write a book- combining my ministry, writing background, and other life experiences. I started to compile notes and chapter ideas, and decided it was time.
The book is called “Searching for Seven.” The number seven is the number of God, and it means “perfection” or “completeness.” I’m searching for God and for that completeness, but I’m also searching for my own faith all seven days of the week. For our faith to grow, we have to be intentional about seeking God every day and putting action to what we believe.
This book is a quick-read, filled with stories and short chapters. It can be used as a small group study, a daily devotion, or for any person who is seeking to grow in their daily relationship with God. You can find all the information at SearchingForSeven.com.
