James (Denny) D. Slaughter, LCC ’69

James (Denny) D. Slaughter, LCC ’69, passed away from Parkinson’s disease on July 31, 2018 in his home.

He was a beloved husband, father, and minister. Denny married his childhood sweetheart, Violet. Together they raised four children, and have 12 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He ministered at Valley View Christian Church in Dallas, Texas, for 30 years. He had to retire due to complications from Parkinson’s. He is survived by his wife, their two sons and two daughters, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
