James “Jim” R. Haenig, LBI ’56–’71

James “Jim” R. Haenig, attended LBI ’56–’71, passed away on January 23, 2018 in Springfield, MO.

James was a preacher of the Gospel, something he found great joy in, preaching in seven churches in Illinois and Missouri over the course of 60 years, the most recent being Westside Christian in Republic, MO. Jim loved spending time with his wife of 58 years, Marilyn, as well as making memories with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, nature, taking off in the car to see where a road would end up, and teasing people. He will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, two children and their spouses, three grandchildren, a sister, and several nieces and nephews
