The February 2015 issue of the ChristianStandard magazine is quite remarkable in the fact that one-third of the articles were written by Lincoln Christian University (LCU) alumni. In addition, readers will see an invitation to attend the 2015 Elders’ and Church Leaders’ Conference and read the news about Dr. Don Green’s appointment as LCU’s seventh President.
LCU faculty and alumni have long been contributors to the magazine “devoted to the restoration of New Testament Christianity, its doctrine, its ordinances, and its fruits. This month, the ChristianStandard includes articles written by:
- Mike Baker (LCU ’12), Senior Pastor at Eastview Christian Church (Normal, IL) and 2015 NACC President
- Dr. Paul Boatman (LCS ’74), Chaplain with Safe Haven Hospice (Lincoln, IL) and former Seminary Dean and Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling
- Trevor DeVage (LCC ’99, ’01), Lead Pastor with Christ’s Church ast Maon (OH)
- Dr. J.K. Jones, (LCC ’80, LCS ’82, ’00), Pastor of Spiritual Formation with Eastview Christian Church (Normal, IL) and LCU Professor-at-Large of Spiritual Formation
- J. Robert Ross (former adjunct faculty), Central Counseling (St. Petersburg, FL)
- Casey Tygrett (LCS ’11), Spiritual Formation Pastor at Parkview Christian Church (Orland Park, IL)
Each of these alumni are well deserving of the respect that comes with an invitation to contribute to this Christian publication that is distributed monthly to Christian leaders and involved members of Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. Their audience reaches more than 19,000 subscribers, 35,000 online visits, and nearly 8,000 newsletter subscribers.
We hope you will pick up a copy at church this month…or read it online at www.christianstandard.com.
