Wayne “Butch” Unger, LCC ’64, passed from this life into the heavenly one that he has preached about for the last 60 years on December 28, 2019, surrounded by his family at home.
His leadership qualities and personal faith were an example to those who knew him. He was appointed Vice President/Director of the European work based in Vienna, Austria. As part of his duties he directed travels in and out of those seven satellite countries, taking Bibles and supplies to the then, underground churches, until 1985. He is survived by his wife, Sue Ann (Monroe), one brother, two daughters, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
