In my relentless efforts to scour the Interwebs for Useful Things, I read broadly and sometimes narrowly. Here are three things I’ve surfaced this week that you may find helpful:
- How to Manage Your Student Loan Debt Like a Pro, Freelancers Union – If you’re a college student, you likely have student loan debt (70% of you do). These simple tips will help you stay on top of it.
- 12 Design Secrets Spilled by Jony Ive, Cult of Mac – Apple’s lead designer knows how to create beautiful things that sell. One key, which Landon has been telling us in his “Failure Friday” series, is dealing with fear: We shouldn’t be afraid to fail- if we are not failing we are not pushing. 80% of the stuff in the studio is not going to work. If something is not good enough, stop doing it. And note how is list isn’t far off from some others I recommend.
- How to Ask Useful Questions, Josh Kaufman – I’ve been learning over the years that getting (and offering) good advice is really about the art of asking good questions. Josh (creator of the PersonalMBA) gives you some excellent shortcuts with these scripts.
