It’s no secret that I like Dan Pink’s bestselling books. The students in Marketing II read To Sell Is Human, and I’m often recommending The Adventures of Johnny Bunko to, well, just about everyone. That’s my teaching assistant, Sheldon, holding a copy in the picture above. We twisted Dan’s arm last spring and got him to guest lecture in a class as well.
If you’re a high school senior, I’d really like you to read Johnny Bunko. And I want to make it easy for you to do that–so I’ll make you a deal: come visit me at LCU, let’s chat about your interests and the business program here, and I’ll give you a copy of Johnny Bunko for FREE.
Why would you want a copy? For one, it’s the coolest business comic book (manga) that you’ve never read. And, secondly, there are some questions and lessons in it that I think will help you as you get started thinking about your education and future career/life goals.
You can set up a campus visit on this page or by contacting Sarah Lawson, the undergraduate campus visit coordinator. You can reach Sarah at 217-732-3168 ext. 2356 or by email.
I’ll look forward to meeting you. And feel free to loan the book to your parents.
