With the start of the school year, it’s easy for graduates to reminisce about their time on campus.
Just today, in fact, I emailed an old friend from college. He was the first person I met when I moved into Blumberg Hall as a freshman at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1987.
Shannon Carter, one of our business administration graduates from 2006, also got caught up in some similar memories and wrote a reflection about her experience at Lincoln Christian University. She offered some honest advice for new students as well:
“Don’t waste the incredible opportunity you have before you. Whenever I’m asked about my biggest regret in life I always come back to this: I wasted most of the educational opportunity I was given in college. I was literally being taught by the best of the best at Lincoln. My professors were brilliant. …Something finally clicked my junior year (I suspect it had something to do with finally declaring a major I was excited about) and I was able to enjoy my classes so much more. I would give just about anything to be able to go back and take my gen ed classes again.”
