What are the application requirements?
To apply for admission to LCU, undergraduate applicants will need to turn in:
- LCU Written Essay
LCU Online Essay
- Christian Character Reference
Online Christian Character Reference Paper Christian Character Reference
- The Christian Character Reference Form should be completed by someone in leadership at a Christian church, organization, company, or other ministry who has a close relationship with the applicant and can vouch for the applicant’s Christian character. It cannot be completed by a relative of the applicant.
- High school transcript and ACT or SAT score
- If the applicant is a college transfer student with more than 25 credit hours completed, only college transcripts are required.
I have a full time job and a family, can I still do this program?
Absolutely! Most all of our students are employed full-time, have family commitments, and church or ministry responsibilities. This program will require some sacrifices, but it can be done alongside the life you are currently living.
I haven’t done any online coursework before. Are you sure this is something I can do?
You don’t need any previous experience with online education. Your very first course, Orientation to LCU, is required for all new students. It introduces you to our online platform and will help prepare you for online education.
What are the admission requirements for the non-traditional undergraduate degrees?
Each of our non-traditional undergraduate programs have the same admission requirements. You must fill out the online application, submit a brief essay as outlined in the application, provide us two references to contact on your behalf (one must be a spiritual reference), submit final, official copies of any previous college coursework you have completed and your high school transcripts or GED certificate.
Is tuition different for online versus on campus?
For the 2020-2021 school year, tuition for undergraduate degree programs will be $466 per credit hour. This tuition is the same for online and on campus. A full-time student completes 12 credit hours per semester.
Do I ever have to come to campus to complete this degree?
No, you aren’t required to ever come to campus for one of our online degrees. However, you are welcome to come to campus to utilize our on-campus resources like the library or fitness center. We also encourage you to attend graduation at the end of your journey!
How do the courses work?
Our programs are offered in a non-traditional format, where students take four courses per semester. These courses are split into two eight-week sessions, meaning a student will take two courses per eight-week session to be full time.
Will you accept my credits from other schools?
We do accept transfer credits from other accredited institutions. Our Registrar’s Office evaluates all official transcripts for eligible transfer credits.
Do I have to get all of my previous college transcripts?
Yes, we do require that all previous transcripts be submitted prior to an admissions decision being made.
How long will it take me to complete my degree?
Each bachelor’s degree program is 120 credit hours. Completing 12 credit hours per semester, it would take 10 semesters to complete the program.
What degrees do you offer online?
We offer Bachelor of Arts degrees in Christian Ministry, Psychology and Business Administration and an Associate of Arts degree in Bible.
Do you offer any financial assistance?
