What are the application requirements?
To apply for admission to LCU, undergraduate applicants will need to turn in:

- Christian Character Reference
Online Christian Character Reference Paper Christian Character Reference- The Christian Character Reference Form should be completed by someone in leadership at a Christian church, organization, company, or other ministry who has a close relationship with the applicant and can vouch for the applicant’s Christian character. It cannot be completed by a relative of the applicant.
- High school transcript and ACT or SAT score
- If the applicant is a college transfer student with more than 25 credit hours completed, only college transcripts are required.
When can I apply?
Prospective students can apply for admission beginning at the end of their junior year of high school. Prospective transfer students can apply for admission anytime within a year of their intended entrance term.
How long will it take to learn if I’ve been admitted?
Once the application file is complete, applicants can anticipate receiving an admittance decision letter within two weeks.
What scholarships are available?
Every applicant is considered for an automatic academic scholarship award based on high school/college GPA and ACT or SAT scores. Additionally, there are competitive scholarships available. You can learn more about our scholarship opportunities and/or apply here.
What is the price of tuition?
The tuition price for traditional undergraduate students is $466 per credit hour. This price makes us one of the least expensive private schools in the Midwest, and even beats many public college and university tuition rates. The cost for a full-time student (15 credit hours per semester) to attend LCU for a two-term school year is $13,200. For more information on tuition and fees, click here.
What is the price of room and board?
The per-semester price of room and board for traditional undergraduate students is $3,895. All unmarried traditional undergraduate students who are younger than 23 years old are required to live on campus and utilize the meal plan. Commuters and students who wish to apply for an exception can do so with the Dean of Students.
Can I transfer credits from another college?
Yes, LCU is a transfer-friendly school. If you have questions about your transcript or how the courses you’ve already taken elsewhere fits into our curriculum, please email our Enrollment Offices, and we’ll do a transcript evaluation for you.
I’m a high school student, does LCU have dual-enrollment classes?
Yes! Not only can high school students who have earned college credit through AP or CLEP programs transfer those credits to LCU, we have our own dual-enrollment program called LCU’s Early Achievement Program (LEAP). Through LEAP, students can take LCU courses either online or on campus. This is a great way to get a jump start on college, and, at $99 per credit hour, it’s a much lower price than full-time students pay. You can learn more about the program here.
How big is LCU?
The total LCU student body is approximately 1,000 students. The traditional, on-campus undergraduate body is about 400. This number allows our campus to have an intimate environment where friends are easily made, and the classroom atmosphere is conversational. Our students are encouraged to participate in classroom discussions and engage with their professors and peers. Our average undergraduate class size of 12 to 15 enables a unique learning environment and absence of large lecture halls.
What are the on-campus employment opportunities?
Through the LCU iServe program, students have the opportunity for part-time employment in a variety of different jobs ranging from environmental services to library aids, teachers’ assistants, athletic events staff, student ambassadors, coffee shop baristas, cafeteria staff and more. These jobs generally range from six to 20 hours a week, and the pay is minimum wage. iServe employees benefit from a flexible work schedule that meshes with their class and extracurricular schedules, as well as gaining resume-building work experience.
What is the job placement rates for graduates?
LCU graduates enjoy a job placement rate of 95 percent within nine months of graduation. LCU students benefit from a vast network of alumni and friends of the school in ministry and professional areas alike. Our small college atmosphere and emphasis on off-campus internships and work study is ideal for fostering the relationships that lead to gainful employment after school.
Can I have my car on campus?
Yes, all undergraduate students are welcome to have a car on campus. There is no parking fee.
How do I get my mail on campus?
Every undergraduate student has a mailbox available to them on campus for no charge. Keys are distributed at the beginning of each school year and collected at its conclusion.
Is LCU an accredited university?
Yes, Lincoln Christian University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and the Association for Biblical Higher Education. The seminary is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada as well.
