Around here, we love to use the term Lincoln Leader. These are LCU students and alumni who have spent some or all of their undergraduate and/or graduate education on our campus and in our programs. Since the founding of the school in 1944, Lincoln Leaders have taken what they’ve learned and who they’ve become as a result of their LCU experience to serve in all 50 U.S. states and in more than 165 countries across the globe.
Today, LCU alumni are acting as difference-makers for Christ in churches, global missions, counseling centers, K-12 schools and colleges, businesses, hospitals, law offices, government, parachurch organizations, non-profits, and nearly every other career and ministry field imaginable.
Current and future Lincoln Leaders depend on generous and faithful gifts from our partners who believe in the mission and ministry of Lincoln Christian University. Your Lincoln Leadership Annual Fund Gift makes it possible for us to continue on in the important work of training and equipping God’s people to serve and lead in the church and the world.
Hear from some Lincoln Leaders on how their LCU education shaped them:
“I had no initial plans of being in ministry, but God had other plans for my life! While I was studying Bible and Business at LCU, He was forming in me a heart for His Kingdom in every opportunity. In classes, I was equipped with the right tools for understanding the Bible; on camp teams, I grew a heart for middle and high school students searching for their identity; on mission trips, my eyes were opened to the Father’s global heart. More than anything, the community of encouraging friends and faculty at LCU showed me how we become more like Jesus when we move beyond comfort and into a world desperate for hope.”

“Coming here my freshman year I was so unsure if I had picked the right school. However, I can now say I wouldn’t have wanted to go to any other school but LCU. This place taught me how to serve others, to be bold and talk to people, and to love God fearlessly. I am not only leaving this school as an elementary teacher, but one who will strive to allow Jesus’ love and light to shine through her in her classroom everyday. “Be a transformational community of global difference makers” was LCU’s vision statement when I first came to school here my freshman year, and I can honestly say that they have taught me to do that for the younger generation I am about to teach. Thank you LCU for being everything I could have ever wanted or needed in a college. I will forever cherish this place.”

“I am deeply indebted to LCU. The school elevated my leadership, deepened my walk with Jesus, broadened my understanding of preaching and the Word, and shaped my heart for lost and hurting people.”

“LCU helped to shape the person I am today, preparing me to lead in business, church, and my family with integrity [that is] rooted in scripture. The professors and coaches at LCU exemplified Christ and encouraged me to do the same.”
– Nate Edson (LCC ’97), Sales Manager
Country Bob’s, Centralia, Illinois

“One of my favorite verses about leadership is from Psalms 78:72: “And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them.” As an administrator in a school, one of the standards I am evaluated on is “acting with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner.” Lincoln Christian University provided the guidance, education, and experiences so I could be a skilled leader who serves with integrity.”

Buder Elementary School, St. Ann, Missouri
