SENIOR MINISTER

Located in the North Phoenix/Anthem, Arizona, area, Canyon Church of Christ is seeking a full-time, spirit-led, experienced Senior Minister who has a heart for serving the Lord, is knowledgeable of the Word of God, and has a passion for evangelism.  It is critical to us that whoever fills this position consistently delivers inspiring, thought-provoking, and original messages based on scripture from the pulpit that are applicable to daily life.  The highest priority of the Senior Minister will not only be to preach and teach but also to connect with the members of the congregation and the community.  A minister with the ability to lead the church to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ as well as grow the church in attendance.

Minimum Qualifications:

·       3+ Years experience as a Preaching Minister preferably at a Church of Christ or equivalent as a college level teacher of preaching and/or Bible studies.

·       Ministry/Bible degree is preferred.

·       Strong Bible knowledge.

·       Experience in outreach ministry, i.e., youth, campus, missions, is preferred.

·       An enthusiastic desire and energetic approach to evangelism.

·       Strong Christian marriage with a spouse who is supportive of their ministry as well as the move to Arizona.

·       With the Eldership as the leaders, work collaboratively with them, the Deacons, Ministers, and Staff.

Canyon, which was a church plant in the summer of 2003, is a small but diverse congregation of young and senior families and individuals who are Bible and prayer oriented.  We believe God reveals himself and speaks to us through His Word and through His Holy Spirit who lives in us.
