Contracted position through the Children’s Home Association of Illinois

The perinatal mental health professional will be trained in the Moving Beyond Depression model of therapy for mothers with a depression diagnosis. Moving Beyond Depression (MBD) (http://www.movingbeyonddepression.org/, as an evidence-based approach for treating maternal depression and has a valuable added component with home visiting programs. The curriculum used in MBD is grounded in a 16-week cognitive behavioral theory (CBT) of depression.

This position will work in tandem with the Good Beginnings home visiting program, which serves pregnant and parenting families in the Peoria/Tazewell communities. There are opportunities for full or part-time perinatal health professionals available.  Competitive hourly pay guaranteed.  This is a contracted position through the Children’s Home Association of Illinois with guaranteed funding through December 2024.

Requirements:

Availability to attend a two-day training through the Moving Beyond Depression model for In Home-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (IH-CBT). This training includes: core contents for Moving Beyond Depression model, strategies for interfacing with a home visitor and home visiting management, and in-depth review of IH-CBT elements and manual.

Preferred experience working with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders

MSW with appropriate experience and/or training
LCSW, LCP, or LCPC preferred
