What it’s Like to Live in Mishawaka, Indiana:
Mishawaka, Indiana is a suburban town in Joseph County. It has a population of about 50,000 and most residents own their homes. What makes Mishawaka so ideal is that it is a great place to live, work, and play. It has great schools, parks, and community activities. It is a great place to raise a family and future generations. Although it is a smaller town, it has its own unique charm that all locals appreciate. Being in the Midwest, we also see all four seasons, which many people like throughout the year. People are born here and stay here, move here and retire here. We have three major Universities in our community: The University of Notre Dame, Bethel University, and IUSB. Finally, it is close to (within a few hours) two major cities – Chicago and Indianapolis. That makes catching concerts and other entertainment fairly easy and available regularly though there are several things locally throughout the year as well as we have a few great venues as well.
