Student Minister

Purpose: To serve as the primary communicator and vision caster of the youth of CrossPointe Christian Church; collaborate with the Elders, staff, and ministry leaders to help youth discover, develop, and then demonstrate a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities:  Develop and deliver messages in weekly youth worship services that motivate youth of a variety of ages, backgrounds and needs to take their next step with Jesus.

·       Collaborate with the Executive Minister to build a ministry team that shares a common vision for the church

·       Work with the Executive Minister and the elders to determine where God is leading the church and create ministry plans and initiatives to go that direction

·       Attend and contribute to staff and church leadership meetings

·       Other duties as assigned

Qualities:

·       Conducts themselves publicly and privately as a personal representative of Jesus Christ and his Church

·       Effective and engaging communicator; theologically sound and subscribes to the precepts and principals of the Restoration Movement

·       Strategically minded and courageous in execution

·       Passionately works toward the plans and goals of the church

·       Enjoys building respectful relationships with and collaborating with other church leaders

·       Genuine care for both church members and others in the community at large

·       Organized with the ability to prioritize and delegate

·       Ability to appropriately handle personal information and keep confidentiality

Education/Job Experience:

·       Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university; Seminary degree preferred

·       3-5 years of vocational ministry experience would be preferred; regular teaching responsibilities preferred

·       Music leadership ability would be a plus

·       Tech background  would be a plus
