Website Hays Christian Church
1318 E. 22nd, Hays, Kansas 67601
Hays, the largest city in northwest Kansas, is located along I-70 and has a population of 21,000. It serves as the economic and cultural center of the region and is home to Fort Hays State University and Sternberg Museum of Natural History. Hays Christian Church has been part of this growing community since the 1960’s.
We are a small church of 35-40 members and/or associates. We have an active women’s group that serves the congregation and community in numerous important ways, a weekly news brief that keeps all our members and associates informed and up to date, two adult Sunday School classes, children’s church, Wednesday evening youth programs and a once-monthly children’s message.
As an independent Christian Church, we seek a minister with an appropriate educational and experiential background and with a strong commitment to outreach whose personal beliefs and practices are consistent with those historically associated with independent Christian churches.
We are looking for someone to call on members and prospective members, serve as the principal speaker, and exercise leadership and implementation of church activities and programs. Other responsibilities, a proposed salary, etc., are included in our position description that will be provided in response to an inquiry/application. Our most pressing needs are to attract and retain a critical mass of younger adults with children.
