Minister

 Mandeville Christian Church in Mandeville, Louisiana is seeking a minister.  Mandeville is a growing, prosperous community located just north of Lake Pontchartrain and is a wonderful place for anyone wanting to escape cold snowy winters!  We are seeking a minister who has a servant’s heart, the ability to teach God’s Word effectively, and who is comfortable interacting with people.  Musical talent would be a plus.  Congregation wants to rebuild its young family base; currently this is our focus for our Wednesday evening service and someone to help teach young children is needed.  Bilingual (English and Spanish) would be an asset in reaching Hispanic persons in our growing community.

 Congregation is debt free and owns/meets in a very large home that has been converted for church activities. The Church currently has strong financial reserves and is able to pay a salary that would enable a young or older couple to rent a small apartment.  A candidate with family would need to supplement their income.  Our current minister and wife are bi-vocational and live onsite in the church building; there is also the option of living onsite in a trailer or RV.  The church is located on two acres with electric and water hookups for several RV’s.

 The church is a small group of loving people who are striving to live Christ-like lives and adhere to the ideals of the Restoration movement.  The church enjoys good fellowship, but also realizes our need to mature spiritually as well as grow numerically.  The Church currently supports missions and benevolent causes with 20% of our general fund income.

A young couple would be ideal.  New and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.  We would also consider older couple or missionary home on furlough for interim ministry.
