MX Children’s Minister

Vision

The vision of the Ministry is to navigate a common path for church and home, using an intentional team approach (called NextGen) to encourage MX children and parents, to grow in Delighting in God, Encouraging One Another, and Serving Eagerly, from ages 0-18.

This position will be responsible for the planning and carrying out of the MX Kids Ministry (birth – 5th grade) and building spiritually encouraging relationships with children and their families.

Plan

• Set direction and vision of the MX Kids.

• Recruit and train volunteers.

• Research and manage curriculum.

• Coordinate Children’s Worship.

• Offer practical teacher training and training resources through media presence and promotion.

• Leverage leaders across generations to carry out ministry.

• Maintain and publish a calendar of events prior to the beginning of each quarter.

Coordination and Implementation

• Schedule and coordinate volunteers.

• Set-up classrooms for Sunday events.

• Be fully present on Sunday mornings for successful programming – welcoming, check-in, setting the theme and tone for the day

• Offer coordination on Sunday mornings.

• Aware of special needs kids and assist with success of the Boundless Sensory Room.

• Leverage the use of technology to promote the ministry and connect with parents and volunteers.

• Primary planner for key events like VBS, Daddy-Daughter Dance, etc.

General

• Be a baptized believer who is actively working to strengthen his/her own relationship with God through reading Scripture, prayer, and “one another” relationships.

• Keep regular church office hours and be available during emergencies

• Work closely with Senior Minister, Elders and staff for a cohesive and united MX church, participating in leadership and staff meetings.

Qualifications

• A 4-year college degree is strongly preferred.

• Full-time Ministry and / or educational leadership experience is preferred.

• Have a passion for Christ and sharing your faith.

• In good standing with a church body is required.
