About the Families Communications Director:
The Director Level exists to provide ministry leadership through vision casting, volunteer
recruiting, ongoing discipleship of volunteers, and promoting value-based movement
engagement. This role provides leadership in the communications process for the Mission families ministry of babies through 12th grade.
The Families Communications Director’s Responsibilities Include:
Run mid-week and weekend communications; social media, email, slides, etc.
Growing a team of volunteers for photography and videography.
Running reports and sorting through church metrics data.
Mid-week and weekend events.
What You Bring:
The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Families Communications Director:
Education & Experience
Under-grad degree preferred
Has prior experience and education in communications within a large organization such as a school, church, non-profit, small or large business.
Experience with Propresenter
Experience with Squarespace
Experience in developing communication strategies incorporating multiple channel
Experience in building systems to improve efficiency on the team
Photography and/or Videography experience
Skilled copywriter/understands the target audience for each platform

There is plenty to do while in Bloomingdale, such as the Oasis Water Park, Bloomingdale Park District Museum, and the Spring Creek Reservoir Forest Preserve.
