Our NextGen Ministry is dedicated to the intentional discipleship of kids and students through every age and stage, and to intentional partnership with parents and families to equip and encourage them as the primary spiritual influence in their kids’ lives. Integration and involvement of our students into the overall life of our multigenerational church is a priority for us. The Student Minister and Kids Minister work in close collaboration to ensure a coordinated approach to discipleship.

Key Responsibilities

The NextGen Student Minister is a full-time position responsible for all ministry to middle, high school, and college students. He/She will…

  • Be responsible for the overall assimilation and discipleship of the students in our church, as well as our efforts to evangelize students through our weekly meetings and services, small groups, trips, and service projects.
  • Provide leadership to both the student leadership team and adult volunteers, recruiting, training, expressing appreciation, and ensuring their ongoing effectiveness, development, and teamwork.
  • Build a caring and responsive pastoral relationship not only with the students and sponsors, but with the parents and families of students, in line with our goal of partnering with parents and families in discipleship.

  • be a servant-leader and a caring pastor who prioritizes people
  • value intergenerational ministry throughout the church, and be an eager bridge-builder
  • be professionally mature, solidly ethical, teachable, and well-organized
  • possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent ministry training or experience
  • have proven experience serving in team-based, local church ministry
