Meet Pennington Park Church:
Pennington Park’s history begins with our sending church, College Park Church in northern Indianapolis, who sought to ignite a passion to follow Jesus throughout the greater Indy-metro region. In its young life, Pennington Park Church has continued to see God’s faithfulness and providential hand working in our people and city, and we continue to respond with faithfulness as we consider the future God has for us. After spending five years as a mobile church worshiping in a school, God led us to complete a capital campaign and building project. On Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Pennington Park Church received approval for occupancy from the City of Fishers and held its first in-person services on Sunday, June 21. We are so thankful for the countless people who have used their God-given gifts and abilities to make the vision of Pennington Park Church become a reality. God is doing faithful work in and through this body to know Jesus and make Him known.

What it’s Like to Live in Fishers, Indiana:
Fishers is located in the southeast corner of Hamilton County and is home to over a dozen parks and nature preserves. The Fishers Trail & Greenway System has more than 85 miles available for use. Fishers has a humid continental climate. Summers in Fishers are hot and humid with temperatures regularly in the 85 °F range. Autumns and springs have very comfortable temperatures normally around 70 °F. Fishers is known for several of the area’s top attractions, such as the Conner Prairie Interactive History Park, Fishers Train Station, and Geist Reservoir. While many parts of Fishers have modernized, a distinct “old town” feel still exists in the Nickel Plate District, near the Fishers Train Station.
The Geist Reservoir offers activities like fishing and waterskiing. The reservoir is located 5 miles south of the Hamilton Town Center shopping complex and the downtown area of Fishers. There are many golf courses around Fishers, and it was named the second Best Under-rated Golf Community in the U.S. by Livability in 2010.
The city also offers a free summer concert series behind the Fishers Government Center in the refurbished Nickel Plate District, where an amphitheater was built in 2012. Fishers Music Works, an umbrella organization for smaller music performance ensembles, was created in spring 2013, offering a wide range of free and ticketed concerts, performed by Fishers residents and local talent. The Parks and Recreation Department hosts outdoor movie nights at the amphitheater as well as holiday events.
