About the Vice President of Training and Development:
The Vice President of Training and Development’s Responsibilities Include:
Develop a strategic plan to launch the Pulse School of Evangelism (SOE), including curricula, faculty, student recruitment, accreditation, and funding.
Drive partnerships with colleges and universities to provide digital and in-person courses supporting SOE.
Recruit practitioners and thought leaders skilled in evangelism to serve as faculty and student advisers for SOE.
Lead and develop a global strategy to offer our Make Jesus Known training and Move Closer app to English, Spanish, and Russian-speaking ministries.
Oversee yearly content development for Make Jesus Known training and the Move Closer app.
Oversee two Pulse 100 cohorts yearly to find and unleash the next generation of evangelists.
Along with our Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, and Digital Media departments, develop a robust strategy to promote SOE and all training and development initiatives with agreed-upon deliverables and monthly evaluation of key performance indicators.
Engage in consultative discussions with key stakeholders, including executive leaders, to provide solutions that will most effectively address next-generation leaders’ training and development needs; establish and build on existing partnerships to address current and future training development needs.
Direct and act as a project manager for ministry, operations, and cross-functional process improvement activities, cascading implementations to faculty, training leaders, coaches, mentors, and directors.
Create innovative methods for curriculum and training design, teaching, and instruction for individuals or groups and with post-training measurement.
Lead research to apply culturally suited training programs for domestic and international audiences.
Engage in personal and team development opportunities presented by Pulse leadership.
Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
Education & Experience
Minimum of 10 years of training and development experience, including roles of increasing responsibility with direct responsibilities in designing curricula, procuring faculty, and program evaluation.
Undergraduate degree in biblical studies, religion, or related field required
Graduate seminary degree preferred
Non-Profit and/or Faith-Based organization experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience building a team, scaling the infrastructure, coaching, and mentoring.
Knowledgeable in digital media and online platforms to support training and development offerings.
Significant experience leading and directing multi-function learning & development operations.
Evidence of excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate to a wide variety of audiences using a variety of formats and media.
Experience and skills in budget development, management, and strategic planning.
Skilled in fundraising for the work of evangelism.
Ability to cast vision to inspire and motivate.
Strong leadership and management skills.
