Please submit an email with expressed interest and an attached resume to vtfandavid@hotmail.com. David Workman is an elder at our church in charge of the search committee.

Salem Church of Christ is in search of a Youth Minister who has 1-2 years of experience in a church setting, with education from a Christian university with a degree in Youth Ministry, Bible, or other appropriate disciplines. We are a Church of approximately 120 members with a small youth group, but with a vision to not only grow our current group, but to effect the lives of the youth in our community for Jesus whether or not they attend our Church.

The ideal candidate will have a strong personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ that includes a vibrant prayer life and a willingness to continually search Scripture in order to facilitate change in the world and also for personal growth and maturity.

The position itself will call for weekly classes being taught on Wednesdays and Sundays, as well as preaching to the congregation four to six times a year. Also, community involvement in various events will be part of the position, along with relationship building not only with the youth, but also with parents and other community leaders. As part of the Church staff the Youth Minister will be expected to attend all meetings that he/she is requested to attend.

The right candidate must be forward thinking and willing to develop and embrace new ways of doing Ministry while at the same time working within a team environment with other members of the Church, as well as the Leadership Team.

Compensation for this position starts at $36,000 annually, however additional education and experience will be considered, and may lead to additional compensation.

Upon completion of an extensive interview process the candidate chosen should expect to begin their duties as soon as possible.
