Lincoln Christian University
Lincoln Christian University (LCU) is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time (rank open) faculty member in Theology, effective August 1, 2021. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in LCU’s undergraduate division. Teaching responsibilities will include both first year and upper division courses in theology. An occasional opportunity to teach graduate courses in theology is also a possibility. An ability to contribute philosophy courses to the undergraduate interdisciplinary studies program would also be highly valued. The applicant will be expected to teach online as well as on campus.
- research doctorate (PhD or equivalent) in Theology or directly related field (ABD applicants or those currently enrolled in a doctoral program may receive consideration)
- demonstrated achievement or potential in classroom teaching and of scholarly contribution
- experience in or willingness to train for online instruction
- evidenced collegiality with faculty and collaboration with others
- balanced commitment to the Church, to Christian higher education, and to the broader academy
Applicants who have applied theology in a ministry setting will be preferred. Given the nature of the position, preferential consideration will be given to member of the Independent Christian Churches or Churches of Christ.
