Senior Minister

Walnut Christian Church is seeking a Senior Minister to lead our congregation to grow spiritually and help us to take the Word to the lost.  We are looking for a full-time minister and salary will be commensurate with education and experience.   We are a small congregation in Johnson City, TN within walking distance of East Tennessee State University. 

Responsibilities:

·         In this role, you will be expected to preach/teach biblical sound sermons/lessons for the Sunday morning service, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening services. 

·         Minister to the spiritual needs of our church family.

·         Being available to the congregation through regular office hours. 

·         Providing counseling services for church members within the scope of your training and ability. 

·         Performing weddings and funerals.

·         Helping develop and execute outreach programs. 

·         Work with the leadership team to make decisions regarding the future of the church.

Qualifications:

·         A vibrant personal relationship with God. 

·         A biblically grounded, spirit led minister with a passion to share God’s love with others.

·         A Christian Church/Church of Christ background.

·         A degree in Ministry.
