LCU wants to thank Tournament Director (and new daddy) Daniel Swihart for his ongoing enthusiasm and organizational work that makes this annual event possible. The Lincolnland Classic Bible Bowl Tournament began in 1976. Patsy Wilson directed the tournament from 1976 to 2000. The tournament consisted of both Round Robin and Double Elimination play. Trophies and scholarships have been awarded to the top placing teams since the beginning of the tournament. The written test, first known as the M.Q. Test, made its debut in 1987. At its peak, the tournament averaged 50 teams.
