Lincoln Christian University (LCU) reports that two students have received positive COVID-19 (coronavirus) test results.
Those individuals have been isolated off campus and will remain isolated per Centers for Disease Control and Illinois Department of Health guidelines.
Our student development staff has been working closely with the Logan County Health Department to follow proper procedures. Any student who has had close contact with an infected student has been quarantined and tested. Out of an abundance of caution, we have asked others to be tested as well. Additional mask wearing protocols and increased cleaning have been put in place to protect those in our residence halls.
LCU has been diligent about following guidance, including the wearing of masks, keeping a proper social distance, and washing hands. While our custodial staff had already increased cleaning and disinfecting on campus with the start of the school year, they continue to quickly respond to any situation with the goal of providing a safe environment for our community.
