Lincoln Christian University’s Dual Enrollment Program (LEAP) is a great opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to get a practical and affordable jump on their college education.
Through the LEAP dual enrollment program, students have the opportunity to enroll and receive credit for college courses while still in high school at a discounted rate. The best time to sign up for the Spring 2017 or Fall 2017 enrollment terms is right now!
Ryder Mills is a senior Intercultural Studies major at LCU. He participated in the LEAP program while still a student at Lincoln Community High School.
“The LEAP program made the transition from high school to college academics easier while making the most of my time in high school,” Ryder said. “I would recommend the LEAP program to any high school student planning on attending college.”
LEAP program applicants must be enrolled in high school as a junior or senior, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and maintain a 2.0 GPA to remain in the program. LEAP students earn college credits upon completion of the course.
Abbie Ramsey is a freshman at LCU, and got her start in LEAP as well.
“LEAP has helped me grow in learning more about the Creator, and been an awesome way for me to get a head start in my college education and to see how things work in a real college setting” she said.
Accepted students can take LEAP courses at a discounted rate of $99 a credit hour, which represents a savings of over $1,200 for a typical college course.
“I feel as though having this opportunity helped me be calmer when I actually began full-time college at LCU,” Ramsey said. “I suggest that high school students consider signing up for the LEAP program. It is definitely a fantastic experience that I am incredibly blessed by and will cherish for a long time.”
Tuition for LEAP students must be paid in full before the start of classes.
