Lincoln Christian University is pleased to announce the selection of Jill M. Dicken as Dean of Student Services.
Jill is a 2000 graduate (BA) of LCU and additionally completed a Certificate in Legal Studies from Harford Community College (Bel Air, MD) in 2005.
Jill is a two-time, two-campus, veteran of LCU, serving in the Student Services and Admissions office at Lincoln Christian College, East Coast, from 1998 – 2001, and in the Student Services office at our main campus from 2001 – 2004. Since 2004, Jill has provided administrative support to an international life insurance company (three years), as well as paraprofessional support to two law firms (eleven years).
In recent years, Jill has been a frequent mentor to LCU students serving as a Spiritual Formation Group leader, and regularly cheering on our student athletes alongside her family including husband, Dr. Frank Dicken (Assistant Professor of New Testament), and father, Dr. Chuck Sackett (Professor of Preaching). Jill said of this role, “This opportunity for service to students speaks to one of my deep passions in ministry—helping students grow and live up to their spiritual and leadership potential. While I understand that this role brings challenges, it also brings an opportunity to serve, encourage, and engage with students as they prepare to make an impact in their world.”
Says President Don Green, “I was apprehensive about finding a candidate who could navigate the areas of student mentoring and formation as well as compliance while also holding a deep appreciation for who and what Lincoln is. I can’t think of anyone who is better prepared to help our students succeed than Jill, and it turns out she was right here the whole time.”
Jill will begin her service with LCU effective June 4.
