Dr. Jonathan Lyonhart is an Assistant professor of Theology and Philosophy at LCU, as well as a husband to Madison and a father to Søren and Augustine. Lyonhart did his undergraduate degree in New Testament at Ozark Christian College, then became the pastor at an inner city church of Chinese immigrants in Vancouver, Canada. After five years of ministry, Lyonhart went on to do his masters and PhD in Philosophy of Religion at the University of Cambridge, where Lyonhart still remains a Fellow at the Cambridge Centre for the Study of Platonism. However, this is mostly a front, as what Lyonhart really likes to do is have lots of ridiculous fun all the time, and is super excited to welcome the new parade of freshman punks each year.
“'It could mean you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. .45 here, he's the shepherd protecting me in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin, Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd.' -Samuel L Jackson, Pulp Fiction”
